Frequently Asked Questions

Learning basic rhythms and melodies on the handpan usually takes a few weeks with regular practice. It takes months or even years to perfect technique, improvisation, and create complex compositions. The handpan is intuitive and easy for beginner musicians, making it ideal for quick learning and creative development.

The most popular scales for handpans are D Kurd, C Minor, and Amara. Each of these scales creates a unique musical atmosphere and emotion, allowing musicians to choose the tonality according to the style and mood of their performance. The choice of scale significantly affects the sound and expressiveness of the instrument.

In the box, you will find a care kit – oil and a microfiber cloth. You can use them before your handpan flies off to a damp or wet area. Simply use a few drops to lubricate the instrument. It is also a good idea to do this preventively every few months to keep your handpan in good condition.

Of course! Sign up for a consultation HERE. You will come to Zendō Space and we’ll be happy to answer all your questions and help you choose.

To be sure about the handpan you are going to buy, it is good to check its quality. Zendō offers only instruments that have been tested by musicians. We can also give you the opportunity to test it live to see if it “vibes” with you. And in the future, we will always be available for tuning and upgrades on your musical journey.

It is important for us to keep the price reasonable – so that a good instrument is affordable without compromising on quality or sound.

The handpan stand provides a stable and ergonomic position of the instrument during playing, which increases comfort and protects the handpan from damage and scratches during use and transport. It is an indispensable accessory for any musician who wants to preserve the quality and life of their handpan.
