The D Kurd scale is one of the most popular scales for the handpan.
The D Kurd 10+2 is designed for musicians seeking depth, dynamics and complete freedom of expression. It is one of the most versatile and beloved scales in the world of the handpan – here, in an extended 12-note version, offering possibilities for even richer chords, melodic phrases and improvisations.
This instrument is part of Sew Handpan’s high-end Opera series and is crafted from stainless steel for exceptional resonance and a long sustain.
Sew Handpan is an Italian brand specialising in handcrafted handpans of the highest standard in terms of tuning and quality. The Opera range is the top-of-the-range line in the brand’s collection – designed for advanced musicians and professional use.
It is recommended to apply 1-2 drops of oil (olive, coconut or machine) every 1-2 months or at higher humidity. This keeps the metal and its sound fresh and crystalline.

In the box, you will find a care kit – oil and a microfiber cloth. You can use them before your handpan flies off to a damp or wet area. Simply use a few drops to lubricate the instrument. It is also a good idea to do this preventively every few months to keep your handpan in good condition.
